Our Newest Spring 2018 Collection was inspired by COLORS and the meaning behind them. What they make us feel and really what we wanted you guys to feel when wearing Sylca!
Some of the main color groups we used in the collection were blue, yellow, pink, orange, green, and black and white!
Let’s start with
Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. This is our temple and we need to take care of it! We wanted you to get the feeling of calm and tranquility when wearing our blue jewelry. Let us know if you get this feeling when shopping or wearing our new BLUE collection!
Now moving on to
Yellow produces a warming and cheerfulness effect, it is also known to stimulates mental activity, and generate energy. When designing this line we had one goal in mind to make you feel happy and cheerful! We hope we accomplish this when you see this new designs!
Keep posted to hear about our other color inspirations!

With the Christmas season upon us we wanted to share some of our favorite Colombian traditions with you!
We would kick off the Christmas season with Día de las Velitas’ or Day of the little Candles where everyone would decorate their houses with tons of candles and festive lights! It was always fun to walk around to see all the decorations!
2. Make a statement in this Textured Jacket from Atelier 957! A "wow" piece that is lightweight enough to be considered part of your outfit, but will also keep you warm this winter.
Our recent trip to Dominican Republic has by far been one of our favorite trips! We spent the week with family and friends visiting the local towns, laying on the most beautiful beaches, and best of all celebrating Camila and Michael's wedding day!
We spent some time in the capital; Santo Domingo, Altos de Chavon, and Saona Island. All so beautiful, but we especially loved walking through Maria De Toledo Square in Santo Domingo. It was built in honor of Maria De Toledo, who enforced feminine clothing, jewels, and headdresses... and you know we love accessories!
The rest of our trip was spent relaxing on the beach in La Romana, which is both where we stayed and where the wedding was held! The beaches were so beautiful, and the water was crystal clear. If you look hard enough you could see 3 to 4 colors of blue in the water. It made for the perfect backdrop for our wedding!
It was truly a memorable trip that we will never forget! We thank all of our friends, family, and customers for being so supportive and we are so happy to share this special time with you all!
Our newest collection was inspired by the Suso Monastery in La Rioja Spain. It is most known for being the birthplace where the Spanish language was born, but we like to think of it as the birthplace where our newest collection was born!
La Rioja is not only home to the Suso Monastery but also a well know wine region in Spain, which to be honest was our main reason we were visiting. We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the bodega, or winery as we call it, tasting and learning about the many wines they made. While there, it was recommended to visit the Suso Monastery. Being that it was only about an hour away, we decided to go and we’re happy we did!
The Suso Monastery was a hidden gem we stumbled upon which then ended up to be so much more for us. The birth of our new collection! As we toured, we were immediately drawn to the colors and textures of the monastery’s architecture. The beautiful natural rock all throughout is the color palate we used for the collection. It’s definitely a palate that can be worn all year round!
Which piece is your favorite from the new collection?
Traveling is our main source of inspiration for our jewelry collections so during one of our many buying trips we branched off and visited it the Temple of Emerald Buddha in Bangkok. It can’t always be all work and no play, right?
The colors and shapes throughout the temple is what sparked our inspiration for this collection. Red and gold are the colors we focused on in this collection as those are typically the main colors seen in Asian culture and are seen throughout the entire temple.
My trip to Ohiopyle with my fiance, brother, and his girlfriend is what inspired our forest collection!
The scenery was surreal. As we hiked up the mountains we felt so renewed and energized there was so much green everywhere! Something you really need after a long winter. The beautiful hues of greens and blues seen in the sky and trees as we looked out from the Sugarloaf overlook was what we wanted to capture in our jewelry. Green and blue are both very calming colors that create a feeling of freshness and confidence both things we feel every-time we are out in nature.
We hope that when you wear the pieces from our Forest collection you feel rejuvenated just how we feel when we are out exploring nature!
Pueblito Paisa, which actually translates to "little town" is full of character and bright colors. Located in the center of town atop of a hill in the valley of Medellin; this replica of a typical turn of the century Antioquia town comes complete with its traditional stone fountain and church, the unique historic buildings are all accented with bright colors of yellow, green, red, and blue.
For the collection, we chose to show off the bright colors and unique designs to tell the story from our visit to Pueblito Paisa.

One of the many things we love about our job is traveling! Traveling for us, is so inspiring and helps us design and mold our collections as we create them. We especially love when we are able to visit our customers!
Recently, we visited the Hillwood Museum in Washington DC. The mansion is styled in 18th century french decor and features 13 acres of beautiful gardens!
Our favorite area was the French Parterre; it was a quiet, secluded area surrounded by ivy covered walls centered with a fountain and beautifully cut greens.
What are some of your favorite places to visit? We'd love to check them out!
